SGR Ep99 - Be a Better Human w/ David Rachford

David Rachford Better Human Challenge

David Rachford is the creator and host of "The Better Human Challenge," a podcast on personal development and challenging you to become your best self.

At the age of 40, David found himself overweight, abusing alcohol, and not living in alignment with his values of health & fitness.

David considered himself a middle of the road drinker, but he stopped enjoying nature and beauty, and found himself complacent. He knew he wasn't challenging himself to grow and succeed. He also became pre-diabetic and was up to 274 pounds.

When he realized this, he searched himself to identify his true values and goals. He turned his life around and arranged it to be congruent with his true self.

David is now a yoga instructor and has found his sobriety, his health, and dropped 50 pounds.

Today, he shows others to follow a similar path of giving to others and being of service with his podcast and website, challenging listeners and followers to become a better human every day.

Are you living life to your full potential?

Could you be a better human?

What might your life be like if you challenged yourself more often?

Foundations Recovery Network

Foundations Recovery Network’s mission is to be the leader in evidence-based, integrated treatment for co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders through clinical services, education and research.

What makes the difference in recovery? How can one help a struggling person find his or her way to healing? Substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions provide a number of formidable obstacles that can keep individuals from living the healthy, happy lives that they deserve. What does it take to usher a person from the disease of addiction into long-term recovery?

At Foundations Recovery Network, we believe in providing evidence-based, integrated treatment and patient-centered care. We treat the whole person, mind, body and spirit. Because we treat both substance use and underlying mental health conditions, we are able to address the root causes of addiction and prepare individuals for a sustainable life in recovery.
